Giant Dancing Fountains at Vidanta World and in North America

Our biggest water shows in North America
A return to North America for long-term projects
Aquatique Show continues to grow and reaffirms its presence in North America. A return to the United States, but also large-scale long-term projects in Mexico. From Aqua Graphic water shows at New York's LaGuardia Airport and a new shopping center in Monterrey, to Universal Studios and the luxurious Vidanta World resort in Nuevo Vallarta, our teams have crossed the Atlantic once again to create new dancing fountain shows.
These new opportunities are part of a global movement to renew and develop offerings in the theme park and resort sector, where dancing fountains and staged water effects are becoming key elements of the visitor experience in terms of shows and attractions.
These new opportunities are part of a global trend toward renewal and development in the theme park and resort sector, where dancing fountains and staged water effects are becoming key elements of the visitor experience in terms of shows and attractions.
In the 1990s, Aquatique Show carried out several major water show projects for leading players such as Disney and SeaWorld, helping to lay the foundations for its expertise and reputation in the world of theme parks.
Between 2000 and 2012, the company shifted its focus toward the North American events market, while maintaining close ties with amusement parks. During this period, it developed flexible water features suitable for temporary installations.
A return to the US with a new water show at Universal
The year 2012 marked a significant return for Aquatique Show to the North American market with the creation of the new lake show “Cinematic Spectacular” for Universal Studios: a giant water show featuring dancing fountains, giant water screens, and three 10.88-meter-long Aqua Graphic curtains mounted on floating platforms.
This project marked the start of a multi-year collaboration with Universal, with the renewal of the lake show in 2018 and 2023 (“Cinematic Celebration” and “Cinesational”).
Our installations have grown in scale to create a show facade over 200 meters long, featuring several hundred water effects and a world-class multimedia show.
These achievements have reaffirmed Aquatique Show's expertise in designing large-scale water shows, combining fountains, special effects, and visual storytelling, at the heart of destinations that welcome millions of visitors.
Mexico: a rapidly growing market for water shows
In Mexico, the country's rapid development and a strategy focused on American and Canadian customers has encouraged the emergence of large-scale projects in the luxury resort, themed tourism, and immersive entertainment sectors.
This dynamic has naturally led Aquatique Show to strengthen its local presence by supporting ambitious projects that incorporate permanent water shows designed as central elements of the visitor experience. Vidanta World perfectly illustrates this evolution, with the creation of veritable water worlds integrated into the heart of an international leisure destination.
Vidanta World : a partnership in Mexico
In Mexico, Aquatique Show is proud to be a partner of Vidanta World Nuevo Nayarit, a group of themed resorts developed by Grupo Vidanta, a major player in the international tourism and entertainment sector. This collaboration is part of the overall development of exclusive destinations, where water shows play an important role in the visitor experience.
Over a period of two years, Aquatique Show has designed and produced three highly distinctive water show projects:
The Crater Show
The Lake Show
LUDÕ, by Cirque du Soleil
All of these achievements contribute to the creation of a veritable “world within a world,” with the development of a “Water World” integrated into the heart of Vidanta World, one of the most important shows in North and Latin America.
Location of the 3 water features
With the indoor show LUDÕ, but especially the two outdoor shows The Crater Show and The Lake Show, Aquatique Show has designed completely different sets and layouts, adapted to each location and each experience. The three shows are located a few meters apart, in the heart of the park, and can be seen from almost all hotel rooms, creating a truly immersive global experience for visitors.
The idea was to take advantage of this proximity to build a “water world,” where each installation plays on either the atmosphere and immersion or the spectacular impact of the fountains. So, the three shows offer distinct but complementary experiences, in harmony with the overall development of Vidanta World.
The Crater Show: immersion in a living volcano
The Crater Show welcomes spectators through a mysterious entrance inspired by Aztec architecture, leading them to the heart of an ancient volcano crater overgrown with lush jungle... but the volcano is still very much alive! The show stands out for its intensive use of multiple water and air effects, with straight jets, arches, air shoots, and air jets, as well as fog effects. Flame effects, integrated by other partners, reinforce the impression of an eruption.
The whole show is perfectly synchronized with the scenography, creating spectacular, rhythmic sequences, in line with iconic projects such as Volcano Bay in Orlando, where a volcano (a young one this time) is active in the center of a swimming pool.
The Lake Show: the park's major show
The Lake Show was designed as the main show and one of the largest multimedia water shows in America. Set on a vast water pond, it combines numerous synchronized and moving jets, choreographed compositions, and several giant water screens to offer an impressive show that can be seen all around the lake, from near and far, and even from a cable car passing overhead.
The system was designed to accommodate thousands of spectators, requiring considerable technical and logistical work: management of substantial cable runs and dedicated technical rooms; coordination of hundreds of pumps, underwater projectors, and motorized effects... This show illustrates Aquatique Show's ability to operate monumental fountains and offer unique experiences.
LUDÕ - Cirque du Soleil: an immersive indoor experience
As part of the development of Vidanta World's indoor activities, Aquatique Show has integrated a circular Aqua Graphic water curtain for Cirque du Soleil's LUDÕ show. This is the third time this technology has been used by the famous troupe, following major projects such as LUZIA and Sarwat Watan (The Wealth of a Nation). This 6.50-meter diameter installation allows images and visual textures to be created directly on the water, perfectly synchronized with the scenography, while demonstrating Aquatique Show's ability to adapt its solutions to demanding live shows.
The indoor show offers a dinner show, providing a unique immersive experience to complement the outdoor shows.
Aquatique Show: international expert in water shows
Through these projects in North America, Aquatique Show has confirmed its expertise in designing and producing customized water shows for theme parks, entertainment venues, and major cultural events.
From the creation of monumental dancing fountains to the subtle integration of water effects into live shows, our approach remains the same: to use water technology to enhance storytelling and emotion.
