BONAPARTE
at the Seyne
- City : Seyne-sur-Mer, France
- 2023
For the Bonaparte Festival in La Seyne-Sur-Mer, held from May 26 to June 4, 2023, Aquatique Show worked with the city to create a spectacular water show designed to be an integral part of a major cultural and historical event in the region. Set on the coast, this water show helped to showcase the natural setting and heritage of the town, while offering the public a powerful and unifying visual experience.
A water show for a municipal event
A staging linked to the history of the festival
Specially designed for this event and this specific setting, this water show demonstrated the potential of a water facade installed directly on the sea using floating structures, complementing the usual fireworks display and supporting the narrative with giant projections on water screens. The system deployed by Aquatique Show made it possible to structure the open-air stage area and accompany the narrative of the show dedicated to the history of Bonaparte and the major role played by La Seyne-sur-Mer in saving the Republic.
A scenic composition between water and fire
The water show's composition was based on:
32 straight jets, reaching 20 meters in height
2 water screens 10 meters high and 30 meters wide
4 imperial pyramids, floating structures with multiple effects at heights of up to 12 meters.
This facade made it possible to present a water show visible from the banks for all spectators, which took over the venue with spectacular height and blended perfectly into the maritime landscape.
Fireworks structured the upper part of the show, like a celestial vault, while water effects rising from the sea occupied the lower part. These two effects combined to reinforce the spectacular and unique nature of the event.
Optimized technical design
Installations designed for efficiency
The success of this show also relied on rigorous technical engineering and an installation designed for efficiency. The Aquatique Show teams deployed floating structures, optimizing assembly time and space utilization on site.
Centralized effects engineering
Imperial pyramids are structures that combine several water effects within a single device, allowing for varied and dynamic movements to be created from a single installation point. They perfectly illustrate this approach: each one incorporates up to 10 different water effects within a single structure. This design makes it possible to replace several individual effects with a single device, thus facilitating its installation.
For installations at sea, our technical teams have acquired unique and specific expertise, including the sharing of floating structures for certain effects, the design of the show to also share lighting, and the rationalization and optimization of cable lengths.
With this project in La Seyne-sur-Mer, Aquatique Show confirms its expertise in designing water shows for public events organized by local authorities. By combining spectacular water effects, optimized technical solutions, and landscape integration, this project illustrates Aquatique Show's ability to change the perception of a well-known tourist area, renewing its appeal and turning it into a cultural venue for young and old alike.
