A permanent water show with the Aqua Graphic in Istanbul
In 2024, Aquatique Show accompanied the urban development of the site of Meydan Ardıçlı, in Istanbul, through the design and installation of a permanent water show, with the aim of offering an animation day and night in the heart of the new district. Thought to integrate sustainably into the central square which will be occupied by shops and other cafes, the installation is fully in line with the daily use of the place: an atmosphere of relaxation and celebration that will give a unique character to this new neighborhood.
Operating continuously, this water feature also participates in the enhancement of public space, contributes to creating a landmark for the inhabitants, like a column of water identifiable by all.

From initial concept to final version
The project began with a 3D model provided by the client, illustrating its aesthetic and functional intentions, including the construction of a large kiosk that covers a pool in the center of the circular square. From this base, our teams conducted an internal reflection to adapt the design to technical constraints, the urban context and the permanent use of the installation.
A first proposal integrated a pool with water jets (arches, straight jets and flower jets) around a circular Aqua Graphic water curtain in the center of the pool. After several exchanges with the client, this choice was reassessed in order to refine the project.

The final decision was made on an installation composed solely of Aqua Graphic water curtains, with the addition of a second curtain. This choice allowed a more refined reading of the roundabout bridge and reinforced the contemporary character of the project, unlike peripheral fountains deemed too classic for this site.
The installation consists of two circular water curtains:
an external curtain of 6 meters in diameter,
an interior water curtain of 4 meters in diameter, integrated into the first.
This feature allows to multiply visual effects and create synchronized shows in music and lights. The patterns sculpted in water are sometimes messages and communications, sometimes chained patterns that create a rhythmic and continuous show.
Implementation of the project
The implementation of the project on site was carried out by Thierry and Diego, father and son, two generations of technicians at Aquatique Show, and specialists in the installation and programming of these equipment.
This feature combining two circular water curtains, illustrates a specific artistic research to offer attractive and original shows: the dialogue between the two curtains allows to create a continuous rhythm with one while the second will be more illustrative and will develop visual themes related to music.
A sustainable installation at the service of public space
With this project in Meydan Ardıçlı, Aquatique Show confirms its expertise in the creation of permanent water features, designed to be durably integrated into urban space. The feature combining two circular water curtains perfectly illustrates the technical approach of the company: it brings together several water effects within a single structure, allowing to create varied and dynamic animations, while optimizing the installation and maintenance. This design ensures continuous and reliable operation, suitable for a permanent show.
The installation thus contributes to enhancing the square and strengthening the attractiveness of the district, while offering visitors a distinctive and structuring visual experience.
