A New Christmas in Spain with Aquatique Show
For its third edition, the Navigalia Christmas show returns to Seville with a new storyline entitled "MISIÓN REGALO" (Gift Mission). Presented on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, opposite the Triana district, this major cultural event of the holiday season enhances its artistic and technical ambition with an extended runtime and optimized audiovisual resources.
This edition marks Aquatique Show's second consecutive year of participation in this large-scale project, produced by Acciona Cultura and supported by the City of Seville.
Coordination to Illustrate or Punctuate the Narrative
The show tells the story of three Bedouins from the court of the Three Wise Men who set out to find gifts for the children of Seville. The show places the city at the heart of the narrative. The Triana district thus becomes the epicenter of the plot.
The narrative is enhanced by impressive video projections on three water screens which, through their transparency, create the impression that the scenes are taking place in the city on the river.
The overall scenographic and choreographic coordination seamlessly integrated the water screen sequences and the dancing fountains with the other effects of the show, including lighting and pyrotechnics, which together comprised the show presented to 130,000 spectators across all performances.
Water Effects
The water feature includes 32 straight jets, used as structuring visual elements of the show, and a water ballet that links the different sequences.
The precise and rhythmic activation of the dancing fountains accompanies or punctuates the narrative. These jets serve as a graphic foundation and punctuate the sequences, while preparing for the appearance of three water screens, each 10 meters high and 30 meters long, designed to accommodate high-quality projections. Offering a fluid and homogeneous surface, these screens allow for a crisp rendering of the visual content, whose projected images interact with the moving water, enhancing audience immersion and highlighting Seville's iconic landmarks.
A confirmed collaboration serving an immersive show
With Mission Gift, Navigalia confirms its place among the major Christmas cultural events in Europe. Aquatique Show's contribution, for the second consecutive year, illustrates its expertise in integrating water effects into complex technical productions. This 2025 edition continues this collaborative and masterful partnership, resulting in an immersive show accessible to all.
