A water show for the 2024 edition :
"Néréa et le Jardin des Merveilles"
Created and produced by the Val Grangent association, the show “Néréa et le Jardin des Merveilles” (Nerea and the Garden of Wonders) was presented in 2024 at the Parc Expo in Saint-Étienne. Aimed at families, it attracted more than 30,000 spectators.
The Val Grangent show has been produced, performed, and executed by the association's many volunteers for over 20 years.
An Aqua Graphic water curtain for an indoor show
Aquatique Show incorporated a circular Aqua Graphic water curtain measuring 4 meters diameter at the center and front of the stage as a balancing point for the set design. It serves as a visual aid to illustrate the show, but also as a special water effect that surprises the audience with a choreography of shapes sculpted directly in the water.
Designed for indoor use, the Aqua Graphic water curtain guarantees stable performance, without splashing, and is perfectly compatible with the performers and scenery. Its operation ensures that the effects are reproduced identically at each performance.
Water curtain scenography at the service of storytelling
The show follows the story of Propolis, a bee-keeping elf tasked with solving a honey shortage that threatens the production of Christmas cookies. His travels through a tropical greenhouse lead him to meet Nerea, the garden fairy, and Arborin, a Jardibout.
Our Aqua Graphic water curtain fits right into this narrative, supporting the scene transitions and visual tableaux linked to the world of gardens and nature.
Val Grangent, where community events take center stage
Founded in 1984, the Val Grangent association has produced 41 original shows and attracted more than 700,000 spectators. It relies on a network of around 360 active members to develop projects that are accessible to all audiences. These shows, which are of the highest quality and scale, have naturally won over a loyal audience.
A water-based set design for shows
The integration of the Aqua Graphic water curtain into this show confirms Aquatique Show's ability to support cultural productions in the implementation of its water effects for indoor stage environments with complex integrations.
A water show for the 2025 edition :
« L’ombre de la Corneille »
For its 2025 production, the Val Grangent association once again called on Aquatique Show to incorporate dancing fountain effects into its Christmas show.
This new production is set in the world of “L'ombre de la Corneille,” a legend linked to Santa Claus's journey, and takes place partly in a maritime environment marked by the presence of pirates and island territories.
Dancing fountains for a dynamic show
Aquatique Show designed a front-of-stage water show based on several water effects:
Double rotating sun jets
20-meter-high straight jets
Rotating jets
Moving jets on 1 axis
The combination of these effects made it possible to create a rhythmic water ballet that comes to life during certain sequences of the show and accompanies the choreography.
A water scenography
The water show created by Aquatique Show for this performance is not only a water ballet in its own right, but also additional scenery that amplifies the maritime theme; the scenery seems to emerge from the water in real time.
In this 2025 project, Aquatique Show integrated water effects and fountains while respecting the technical constraints of the venue and stage. The configuration of the water jets allows for good visibility throughout the entire show, while protecting the performers, sets, and stage equipment.
